Assistant Professor and Technology Development Librarian, Wichita State University
Prior to entering librarianship, Samuel Willis worked as an instructor in mathematics, and is a member of Kappa Mu Epsilon and Beta Phi Mu honorary societies. He became Technology Development Librarian at Wichita State University after receiving his MLS from Emporia State University’s School of Library and Information Management in 2014. He is responsible for maintaining the OPAC, discovery layer, website, and several other systems. He works routinely with vendors and with colleagues on campus, both within and without the libraries. These efforts in the past two years have largely been centered on improving accessibility for persons with disabilities, as part of a university-wide effort. Willis serves on the University Accessibility Committee, and as accessibility expert for the University Libraries.
