Prior to entering librarianship, Samuel Willis worked as an instructor in mathematics, and is a member of Kappa Mu Epsilon and Beta Phi Mu honorary societies. He became Technology Development Librarian at Wichita State University after receiving his MLS from Emporia State University’s School of Library and Information Management in 2014. He is responsible for maintaining the OPAC, discovery layer, website, and several other systems. He works routinely with vendors and with colleagues on campus, both within and without the libraries. These efforts in the past year have largely been centered on improving accessibility for persons with disabilities, as part of a university-wide effort. This is his first time presenting at LITA.
