David Lacy is the Director of Technology and Knowledge Management at Temple University Libraries. He has spent the better part of the last decade working extensively in research libraries developing and implementing discovery and repository systems, with a strong preference toward open source solutions and community-based collaborations.

His career has included development and implementations of Discovery, Repository, ILS, CMS, and various integrations (NCIP/2, SIP/2, z39.50, proxy, etc) using various platforms, applications, and frameworks (Fedora3/4, Solr, ElasticSearch, Blacklight, VuFind, Samvera/Hydra, Alma, OLE, Voyager, Primo, Summon, etc). In recent years, he has developed as a staunch advocate for the further proliferation of RDF-based linked data solutions for metadata description, dissemination, and object modeling.
