Shoaling and Schooling: Managing Parallel Teams for Populating, Testing, and Developing the CORAL ERM

When taking on an open source project, some questions often come up for libraries: Do we have the resources to get the project up and running ourselves? And can we feasibly commit to a developing and testing role in the project’s community? While implementing the CORAL 2.0 electronic resource management system, our team tackled these questions by establishing parallel working groups, one for implementation and one for development. This session will demonstrate how, using an Agile team-based approach, we effectively streamlined the process of implementation and contributed collaborative enhancements that improve CORAL for everyone.
