Creating three-sixty objects using open source jQuery Reel (20 minute session)

Since 3D modeling is still expensive and beyond the affordability of most of the archives, open source tools provides a viable alternative. Jquery reel is an open source three-sixty player and is free to use under the MIT License. By using jquery reel, we were able to create the three-sixty views for our objects collection and make them more interactive for our users.

This presentation will showcase the workflow we employed to generate three-sixty views of our objects. And demonstrate how archives or museum can develop interactive virtual objects on a limited budget by harnessing the power of collaboration and open source technology.
