Mary C. Schlembach is Chemistry and Physical Sciences Librarian, Coordinator for Physical Science and Engineering Libraries, and Associate Professor in the Library at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). She is also an affiliate faculty member in the Grainger Engineering Library Information center at Illinois. Mary holds an MS in Library and Information Science from UIUC and a CAS (Certificate of Advanced Study) in Library Automation from the University of Pittsburgh. She has been a PI on grants from the National Science Foundation NSDL (National Science Digital Library) and the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS)National Leadership program. Mary has published in areas such as data management and transaction log analysis in information and library science journals and has presented at a number of national and international conferences. She has served as guest editor on three special issues of the journal Science and Technology Libraries. Mary has served on the Advisory board of the American Institute of Physics (AIP) and on the ASEE Engineering Libraries Division Extended Executive Committee.
