Hong Ma is the Head of Library Systems at Loyola University Chicago. She plans and provides oversight for the library’s technology infrastructure (including all library systems, the library website, the library digital collections, and the institutional repository), and serve as lead administrator for library systems. She has taken a lead in revamping the library system to a next-generation library system and established a collaborative administrative structure. She also works closely with campus IT to ensure interoperability between library systems and campus applications. Prior to Loyola, she was Information Systems Librarian for the University of Miami libraries. She is a regular writer and speaker on implementing large-scale digital projects and systems. She has been playing active roles in LITA.
