(Kind of) Reinventing the Wheel: Using Technology to Streamline Library Assessment and Promote Increased Student-Librarian Collaboration

While many academic libraries have formalized assessment plans for their information literacy instruction program, it is often useful for instruction librarians to experiment with individualized and class-specific formative and summative assessments. In this poster, instruction librarians from small (8,514 students), medium (19,653 students), and large (37,665 students) universities will detail how they have used academic technologies in order to streamline the assessment process. We will focus on selecting specific technologies, scalability among varying institution sizes, and how the use of assessment technology can help librarians stay in closer contact with their students after the instruction session.
