Campus Cooperation: Towards Making Instruction and Services Accessible for All

All constituents on campus may agree that providing persons with disabilities access to higher learning is a noble pursuit, but the issue becomes complicated when circumstances from each department are considered. From a library perspective, a main challenge is managing access to content the libraries do not directly control. As librarians, we must work effectively with other departments and vendors to continuously improve access to information for persons with varied abilities. This session will provide insight into collaborations on campus and with vendors, and give attendees tools to take back to their institutions to enhance accessibility for persons with disabilities.
