Building an EZproxy management console in Drupal and GitHub

When exploring a solution to replace our cumbersome VPN for off-campus access, EZproxy became the obvious choice. The challenge was preparing proxy links for hundreds of thousands of resources. This session will first summarize the strategies employed to meet that challenge. We will then highlight the custom management console we built for ongoing management of our EZproxy service. Leveraging Drupal, GitHub, and other third-party tools, the console allows for addition, deletion, or customization of database stanzas in addition to automated stanza updating directly from OCLC, configuration alerts for missing stanzas, and one click code promotion and server restarting.
