Thank you for registering for the 2016 LITA Forum. All Forum events will be held at the Omni Fort Worth Hotel. This message contains important information to help you make the most of your Forum experience.
The LITA Forum website, including the program, uses a responsive design so it works on all platforms and devices. We’ll also have the always popular handy-dandy-pocket-schedule available at the registration desk. Don’t miss our thought-provoking and thoughtful keynote speakers: Cecily Walker, Waldo Jaquith, and Tara Robertson.
Code of Conduct
All participants are expected to observe the ALA Statement of Appropriate Conduct rules and behaviors in all conference venues, including online venues, and at conference social events.
Privacy and Safety at Forum
Learn about how we’ll be using lanyards to let you indicate your preference about having your photo taken. We’re also taking additional steps to make Forum as welcoming and safe as possible. This special page on the Forum website provides information about how we’re providing purple stickers to help attendees find colleagues to walk places with them, information about the Omni Hotel’s open carry policy, and diversity information about Fort Worth. Your safety and comfort are our top priorities, so please don’t hesitate to contact us about anything.
You can also find someone to share a ride to, from, or around Forum, especially if you’d feel more comfortable traveling into Fort Worth with someone. Contact us to get the link to the spreadsheet. Please don’t share the link publicly in order to protect your colleagues’ privacy.
We hope you’ll read and reflect on the statement the LITA Board made this week reaffirming our commitment to diversity and inclusion. Please don’t hesitate to talk to LITA staff onsite if you have any questions or concerns during Forum.
If this is your first Forum, or if you just want a refresher, be sure to attend the 1st-timer Orientation session on Friday from 12:15-12:45 pm.
