Monique LIbby

Monique Libby is an MLIS candidate at the University of Maryland iSchool, specializing in Archives and Digital Curation, and is an ARL Initiative to Recruit a Diverse Workforce (IRDW) 2015-2017 Scholar and a 2016-2017 ALA Spectrum Scholar. She holds a BA in History from St. Thomas Aquinas College and an MA in American and Modern Asian History from Fordham University. Monique currently works as a Digital Library Technician at Smithsonian Libraries in Washington, DC, where she provides support service for their digital library and digitization projects. In her previous academic career, Monique was an adjunct History professor at St. Thomas Aquinas College, and an Editorial Assistant for the Papers of John Jay at Columbia University’s Rare Books and Manuscripts Library. She also worked as an Archives Technician for the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) with the NARA/ Digitization Partnership Project.
